Representatives of Abergavenny Town of Sanctuary were invited to attend the Mayor’s Civic Ceremony at Abergavenny Baptist Church on Sunday 9th July.   The new Mayor, Councillor Anne Wilde gave an address explaining more about the role of Mayor, and announcing her three chosen charities which she will be supporting during her term of office .  We are very excited and grateful that one of these charities is Abergavenny Town of Sanctuary.  Not only will this raise the profile of AToS  but hopefully will provide funds for us to broaden the support we are able to give to the resettled families here in our town.
